Lone Oak High School agriculture students were recently honored at the state FFA convention.
Students Kelsey Morris, Natalie King, Rachel Willingham and Shelby Warren took first place in the Agriculture Issues Forum. The students researched H.R. 305, the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act, presented the pros and cons, and participated in a 7 minute question and answer session.
Students Mary Kincaid, Kimberlee Willis and Dylan Weaver each received first prize in their entry categories at the AgriScience Fair.
The seven winners will advance to the National FFA Competition in October.
